Coronavirus – Change of service

From 13/03/20 and until further notice, we will be offering telephone appointments only.  If you have a cough, sore throat, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever or shortness of breath please do not visit the surgery, please call the surgery instead.  If you have a future face to face appointment already booked at the surgery and have any of the above-mentioned symptoms then please phone the surgery to cancel the appointment. You will be offered a telephone appointment instead if needed. Our reception team may be touch with some patients to change pre-existing face to face appointments to telephone appointments.

If our clinicians decide a patient needs to be seen face to face and has one or more of the above-mentioned symptoms, the patient will be seen at the Oakridge Surgery only between 2pm – 6 pm. The Oakridge surgery address is 1204A Christchurch Rd, Bournemouth BH7 6DY. We advise attending alone if possible.  Please only attend if you have been offered an appointment.

Our position will be reviewed on a daily basis with guidance from NHSE and the government in mind, so please expect this situation to change. We will be communicating any changes via our telephone answering message and website.

Everyone, including health and social care workers, should self-isolate if they develop a new continuous cough or fever or loss of/ change in smell or taste.

The individual’s household should also self-isolate for 14 days as per the current guidelines and the individual should stay at home for 7 days, or longer if they still have symptoms other than cough or loss of sense of smell or taste.
