Strouden Park Surgery is a vibrant, friendly practice providing a range of high quality medical services to the whole community, young and old. As a patient at Strouden, your named accountable GP is Dr Mufeed Ni'man, although you are free to request an appointment with any of our available GPs.

At Strouden Park Surgery our aim is to promote health in the local community. The Surgery welcomes people from all ethnic groups and we have doctors who can speak Arabic and Polish if required. Services include health visitors, midwifery, nursing and district nursing and are mainly free under the NHS, although parallel private services outside the NHS scope are available.

We are open every weekday but closed at the weekend and on bank holidays. Please first contact us or NHS 111 before going to A&E.

Dr Martina Daw

Dr Martina Daw will be leaving Strouden Park Surgery on 8th April 2019, she will be relocating to The Grove Surgery in Christchurch to become the Clinical Lead.

ONE PROBLEM-ONE APPOINTMENT

Help us to help you, we would encourage patients to book a double appointment if they have more than one problem to discuss.

How to make the most of your appointment:

  • Arrive in plenty of time
  • Be prepared - write down points to remember
  • Discuss the most pressing issue first
  • Wear accessible clothing
  • Make sure you understand what is said and what is happening next

If we are running late, please be patient and do not blame the receptionist.

Improved Access to General Practice Services

To help improve access to appointments for our patients, in particular during evenings and at weekends, you may be offered an appointment at the Urgent Treatment Centre at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. If you would like one of these appointments, please speak to reception who can arrange this for you.

It may be necessary for us to offer you an appointment at the Urgent Treatment Centre between Monday and Friday during our normal opening hours if we have no available appointments in the Practice.  Out of hours you can also call 111 where a triage process will determine whether an appointment is needed before directing you to the most appropriate service.

Appointments at the Urgent Treatment Centre are pre-bookable (unlike A&E) so waiting times following your arrival are similar to being seen in the Practice. The Urgent Treatment Centre is located close to the entrance to A&E, and is clearly signposted.

At the weekend there is a walk-in service available at the Boscombe & Springbourne Health Centre that runs from 08:00 to 20.00 on both Saturday and Sunday.

Please note: The walk-in service is a separate service operated by a different provider that is not in affiliation with the Strouden Park Surgery. For more information on the service please visit the website here.
